REMINDER/WARNING:

This game was made for Juniper's Dev 2026 game jam in less than a week, just as a small reminder. :3

Also, some TW: Mild/fantasy blood and violence, mild language and innuendo, and some fantasy/monster gore.

ABOUT:

'Cherry Jam' is a roquelite where you play as an MC, "DJ Jam", fighting off against hoards of musical beasts, with roguelike progression and a top down shooter gameplay. It incorporates the theme of 'Spin to Win' by using the DJ's records off of his turntable as a main attack. It is a satirical and light-hearted comedy with a main focus on... uhm... SERIOUSNESS.

If the game gets enough attention, I could consider a full version using a more professional engine, like Godot or Gammemaker. Otherwise, it'll stay a Scratch game for now, but due to some of the violent elements it can only be put up on 'itch.io'. :)

(Just download the files, open a new Scratch/Turbowarp project or something, and load 'em. :3)

I appreciate that this is maybe a first time jam entry so I just wanted to say well done for submitting something and I hope you keep on learning and doing jams! I will give some feedback in hopes that it will help you improve in future jams!

This game is extremely punishing, You die very quickly, the death screen is very long and there's no way to restart other than refreshing the page. This caused me to quit after a couple of minutes out of frustration.

Overall though this is a fine entry, the art, UI, sound and mechanics all work well. Good job!
